The FIT classes are like “independent study hall”. The instructor evaluates each person, notates where improvements are needed, and give specific drills and assignments for the hour to make progress. Everyone is different and has different strengths and weaknesses, and needs individualized attention to overcome those that need work. Sometimes in a group class, that individualized attention to specific issues aren’t there. To that end, this methodology serves to address mistakes and weaknesses to bring to perfection. This is an excellent method used in Hong Kong to get practitioners to reach a very high level of skill in a relatively shorter amount of time.
